Detailed Itinerary for 4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo


Day 1: Kampala - Lake Mburo National Park

On this day you are picked from your Hotel in the morning after your breakfast. You will be driven towards the west from Kampala have a stopover at the Equator for photograph and souvenirs then to Lake Mburo NP via Masaka town and spend a night at Lake Mburo Eagles Nest.

Day 2: Lake Mburo NP - Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will have early breakfast at your Hotel thereafter travel to Lake Mburo National Park for Game drive. Lake Mburo National Park contains a variety of attractions: it is dominated by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests, which harbors a variety of plants and animal species. It is because of these diverse ecosystems that render the park to be one of the richest in bio diversity like Zebras, Elands, and Buffaloes, Impalas, Roam Antelopes, Leopards, Hyenas, Hippos, Bush bucks, and Klipspringer. The presence of the Lake within the park enables visitors to take a boat ride do sport fishing and see the Crocodiles, Pelicans, Shoebill stork, Hippos, Cormorants, Fish eagles, and a lot more.

You will have an early or parked lunch in Mbarara en route to Queen Elizabeth National Park. And later in the evening you will reach Queen Elizabeth NP and where you will have an overnight and dinner at Campsite.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park

An early morning game drive in this park, provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks etc.

After lunch you will enjoy the afternoon unique 2-hour boat drive on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of wildlife especially the huge hippos and many buffaloes which can be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This drive offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The abundant bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. You will have dinner and an overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth NP - Kampala

On this last day of the Tour, after your early breakfast at the Hotel, you will embark on your Safari Vehicle and drive back to Kampala, having lunch en-route. You will then proceed to your Hotel.
